Welcome to my online teaching portfolio. My name is Cassandra Berry. I am the owner and director of Believers Early Learning Daycare. I am a creative, organized, and devoted educator passionate about teaching. After retiring in 2015 from the corporate position I held for 32 years as a Global Sales Planning Manager, my heart was set on starting a Youth Mentoring Program. As a church leader and mentor for young people, I wanted to provide a safe, nurturing environment for students to learn beyond the classroom. In the fall of 2015, my non-profit organization was birthed, mentoring children from ages 3 to 18 after school and during the weekends. Our program continues to serve youth from Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne County. My ultimate goal is to assist multi-cultural families and preschool children through education. My motivation for becoming a teacher/educator is to provide young children with the best care in a loving environment.
